An exciting day in Northampton as the region's clubs assembled for the annual East Midlands closed competition this year.  Nightflyers sent a small contingent along to join in - just 8 bouncers made it, but they certainly performed well against other trampolinists of all grades.  Adam finished a creditable 6th with a tidy pair of routines, Michelle (also competing for the first time in our colours) managed 13th (49.7) whilst our under 15s did well against a large field (36) of mostly higher graded competitors.  After their set routines, Marita was ahead in 14th, with Marie in 16th and Sarah 34th (after an unfortunate incident with the frame pad!).  Fortunes got reversed in the vols though, when Marita got too near the end deck, leaving the final places as Marie 16th, Sarah 26th & Marita 31st.
The stars of our club this time though, were the under 11s.  Scarlett set the pace with a great set that seemed to inspire Lucy to her best competition routine ever.  Charlotte had a few wobbles though, leaving them in 2nd, 5th & 11th places after the first round.  A similar performance in the vols saw Scarlett finish 2nd, Charlotte 4th (that high tariff helped!) with Lucy a good 7th overall.  This was enough to give them 1st place team medals too. Well done you three!
