Central Zone Schools 2009-10

last updated: 22.40 on Wednesday 13th January
Supplemental Information
The Venue
This year's Central Zone Schools competition will be held at the
Harvey Hadden Sports Complex in Nottingham on Sunday 17th January 2010 from 9.00am to 5.00pm.
The centre has a café serving hot & cold food and vending machines – they may get overloaded by the lunchtime rush though!  There are also a few shops about 400 yards away on Bracebridge Drive (turn right on leaving the centre, then second left).  There is plenty of room for spectators, so please bring your supporters along.

The equipment used will be a mixture of
6mm and 6x4mm trampolines.  There will be no half-inch trampolines available.

Directions
Anyone travelling from the North should use the M1, exiting at J26 and taking the A610 towards Nottingham.  Take the 5th exit at the roundabout - the A6002 -  and continue for about 1 and a half miles to the traffic lights at Strelley.  Turn left here onto Strelley Road and then take the 2nd right onto Wigman Road.  Harvey Hadden is less than half a mile down this road, on your left.

If you are travelling from the South on the M1, exit at J25, taking the A52 into Nottingham, being sure to turn left (2nd exit) at the second roundabout (Bramcote, by the Sherwin Arms)  following signs for A6007 Ilkeston, then turn right at the mini roundabout onto the A6002 (Coventry Lane), right at the lights onto the A609 Trowell road, left at the next lights onto Glaisdale Drive, then left at the mini roundabout onto Wigman Road.

Those of you travelling from the East or from the south via the A60 or A46 should take the ring road past the Queens Medical Centre (A52 junction) and continue up the ring road (through the average speed camera zone) to the Crown island (A609 junction). Continue up the ring road and turn left at the next set of lights onto Beechdale Road (by the leisure centre) and continue along this road (which becomes Wigman Road) for about a mile.  Harvey Hadden is on your right after the 3rd roundabout (1st & 2nd are proper islands, 3rd is mini).

Travelling by train
Nottingham has very good connections with regular direct rail services from Birmingham, London, Cardiff, Peterborough, Norwich and beyond.  These seem to have suffered minimal disruption in the present weather conditions.
The taxi rank at Nottingham station always has plenty of Metro Cab taxis (in my experience).  Harvey Hadden is about 4.8 miles away and the fare should be somewhere around the £10-£12 mark.

Hotels
If you're travelling a fair way, you might like a hotel!  The following are all within about 3 miles of the venue, but I can't vouch for the quality:
(about £50 per room)  Premier Inn – Nottingham West

How to Enter
The competition is open to all qualifying individuals and teams from the Wales, West Midlands, East Midlands and Eastern Regional Competitions that were held in December 2009.
The same rules apply as at the regionals, with a few organisational changes.  The routines and eligibility rules are the same.  For a full set of rules follow the link below.

Entries should be on the official entry form, which you can download by clicking here(either click and save, or right click and 'save target as..' depending on your browser)

Complete the form using Excel (Open Office cannot cope with it!) and then email an electronic copy to mechris.edwards@ntlworld.com as I need this to process the entries without risking typing mistakes or repetitive strain injury!  Please do this by Saturday 19th December 2009

You will get an email confirmation from me as soon as I have processed your entry - usually the same evening.
If you haven't heard within 2 days, please retry, sending it to chris@nightflyers.co.uk instead, just in case your first email didn't get through. If that fails, leave a message on the http://tscore.co.uk website forum!

Then print the form off, sign it, add a big fat cheque and send it to the address on the form to arrive by
December 30th.
If you cannot complete the form electronically, please email me for a printable copy and instructions.

You can download the current rules here - please be sure that you have read and understood them.  If you are uncertain, please email me.
