| Well done to all the team today. There weren't many of you (usual moan!) but we got some great results thanks to the hard work you've put in. |
| Beckie kicked things off for us with a highly entertaining display of controlled plummeting as she struggled to hang onto to her full-twisting back summie in the warmups. By the time she got to the set though, she had figured out which way 'up' was and only just missed landing it. In the vol, she did it! Well done on a second place (out of two, but who's counting?) Hollie soon compensated though with a great qualifying second place in the grade F, followed shortly after by Molly who, in her first competition, finished in a very respectable 8th place. Next was Matthew, who had been making tremendous improvements in his routine recently, and got awarded a well-deserved second place. Katie had been having a few confidence issues recently, but her excellent performance soon sorted that out with a great 3rd place at what is only her second attempt at grade E. That just left Jasmine, who has spent the past 2 months telling Toni and me that she can't do anything at all and it's all horrible. She then magically switched on a couple of great routines to win her group with a qualifying score, despite having the lowest tariff of anyone! Brilliant! So, if ever the rest of you need some role models, look no further than our team today - they were great. Just get out there and do it! |
